‘Little Women’, Emma Watson Changes the Role of Emma Stone

Glamovie.com – Beginning last July, Greta actress and filmmaker Gerwig is rumored to be bringing the “Lady Bird” stars into her new film. The 34-year-old woman reportedly will invite Saoirse Ronan and Timothee Chalamet to be involved in the “Little Women” remake film.

Not only the two stars made by the film, Greta apparently also glanced at other top actresses to participate in this latest project, namely Meryl Streep and Emma Stone.

However, the latest news says that the character that will be played by Emma Stone was replaced by Emma Watson.

Surely this reminds fans of the events of last year, when Mia’s role which was supposed to be played by Emma Watson in “La La Land” must be replaced by Emma Stone. Even Emma Stone was able to win an Oscar as the best actress because of her role in the film Damien Chazelle.

Reported by Variety on Monday (27/8), Emma Stone withdrew from the project “Little Women” because she had to promote her latest film, “The Favorite”.

But, until now, it was not clear what role would be played by Emma Watson in “Little Women”.

“Little Women” is an adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel.

In fact, this project has been formed at Columbia Pictures for the last time, with Amy Pascal as producer with Denise Di Novi and Robin Swicord.

Initially, Greta was only asked to rewrite the concept of the film, but after “Lady Bird” reaped great success, Columbia Pictures pre-produced and asked Greta to choose “Little Women” as the next film.

Written in 1868, Alcott’s novel tells the story of four American-age sisters who were destroyed in the Civil War.

“Little Women” has been adapted several times to feature films, where the 1994 version starring Winona Ryder, Kirsten Dunst, Claire Danes and Christian Bale became the most popular.

In addition, there is also the “Little Women” miniseries which aired late last year on the BBC television station.

Until now, there is no further information about this project, because “Little Women” is still in the early stages of development. However, Greta’s work and a series of stars that will appear in this film, certainly make “Little Women” worth the wait. (Glamovie).
