Disney fired, Warner Bros. Ready to ‘Take’ James Gunn

Glamovie.com – Until now, news of James Gunn’s dismissal as director of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” was still a hot topic among fans. Even support for James to be re-recruited continued to flow.

The latest news states that until now there is still no result agreed by both parties.

Reported by the Comicbook on Thursday (9/8), a source claimed that the final decision had not been issued and the negotiation process with Marvel was still ongoing. Even reportedly, James still has the potential to develop another MCU story, even though it is not “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”.

Previously, there were also reports that Disney planned to continue using James Gunn’s manuscript for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”, although it would not recruit the director again. Even the 52-year-old director’s manuscript script will not get much revision so it can immediately go up to the production stage.

On the other hand, when Disney reportedly did not have the intention to recruit James again, it seemed the director would not lose his job. The reason is, a number of other studios actually see great opportunities to hold and “accommodate” the director.

One of the studios rumored to be approaching James is Warner Bros.

If an agreement is reached, James may join DC Extended Universe and work on some of their films. But unfortunately, James was not allowed to sign contracts with other parties during negotiations with Disney. (Glamovie).
